Nancy Westad

2026 Kids Camp Speaker

Camp Speaker Bio

Nancy Westad serves as Family and Children’s Pastor at CFA in Grande Prairie. She and her husband, Dwayne, have been married for 29 years and have three children on a farm in Poplar Hill.

A graduate of the pastoral program at Rocky Mountain Bible College in 1999, Nancy has spent decades investing in children, youth, and families through church ministry, youth programs, street ministry, missions, and leadership development. During Bible college, she helped establish a youth program in northwest Calgary and later served alongside Dwayne in youth ministry for nearly a decade at a rural church in northern Alberta.

In addition to ministry, Nancy worked for many years in healthcare and social work, bringing compassion, leadership, and practical experience into every area of her ministry. In 2017, a mission’s trip to Haiti renewed her passion for ministering to families and seeing lives transformed through the power of the Holy Spirit. She joined the CFA staff in 2018 as Children’s Ministry Coordinator and became Family and Children’s Pastor in 2024.

Nancy is passionate about Christ-centered, Spirit-filled ministry that helps children and youth encounter God in meaningful and life-changing ways. She loves building relationships, equipping leaders, and creating high-energy environments where young people can experience the awe and wonder of God’s presence and power. When she’s not ministering in church, Nancy enjoys reading, meeting new people, and playing bagpipes competitively.
